What the internship includes

More than a task list.

The goal is to expose interns to the way a modern digital studio plans, builds, reviews, documents and improves work. The exact tools and assignments depend on your track and current project needs.

01

Onboarding & official documents

Selected interns receive an onboarding flow with offer details, required forms and contract/document handling before active training begins.

02

Attendance & leave workflow

Daily check-in/check-out and leave requests help keep remote work transparent, organized and easy to review.

03

Daily reports & NAITA support

Record daily work, submit progress for approval and maintain a structured log that can support NAITA/institute diary requirements where applicable.

04

Tasks & practical projects

Work is assigned through clear tasks and project milestones so you can build evidence of progress instead of only watching tutorials.

05

Meetings & communication

Scheduled Zoom / Google Meet sessions, notices and internal communication keep interns connected to supervisors and the wider training process.

06

Learning & technical guidance

Guidelines, tutorials, coding standards, reusable resources and selected AI/GitHub/deployment exposure support your day-to-day learning.

07

Feedback & skills progress

Progress reviews and feedback are used to identify strengths, blockers and the next skills you should focus on during the six-month period.

08

Completion & next-step support

Successful interns can receive completion documents, alumni status and evidence that helps organize project experience for a future CV or portfolio.

Frequently asked questions

Before you send your CV.

Who can apply for a WhiteCoder internship?

Students, recent graduates and early-career applicants can express interest. Selection depends on the chosen track, current intake capacity, your basic skills, communication and willingness to learn.

Do I need a portfolio or GitHub profile?

It is strongly useful for development and design tracks, but it does not need to be perfect. Small personal projects, practice work, class projects or clear evidence of learning can help us understand your current level.

Is the internship online or on-site?

The current program is designed as remote-first, with tasks, reports and meetings managed online. If an intake includes a specific physical activity, selected applicants will be informed in advance.

Will I receive a Service Letter and Certificate?

The internship workflow is designed to issue both after successful completion. They are not automatic just because an internship was started; final eligibility is based on the verified completion record and applicable terms.

How are interviews arranged?

Shortlisted applicants are contacted through the details in their application. WhiteCoder will provide the interview date, time and online meeting method when the application review is complete.

Is there an internship fee or allowance?

The current system includes a Rs. 2,500 initial registration/payment receipt process for applicable intakes and a performance-based allowance concept. Your official offer will state what applies to your intake. Do not rely on unofficial payment requests.

Can WhiteCoder support institute / NAITA daily records?

Yes, the internship workflow is designed to record daily work, allow review/approval and support structured diary-style reporting where required.

Where should I send my application?

Send career/internship applications to hello@whitecoder.lk. For general WhiteCoder enquiries, use info@whitecoder.lk or the official contact details shown on whitecoder.lk.
